This song was written for Tower of Song (an open mic, where all the songs are originals written to a theme). The song is very vaguely a Christmas song but it was mostly about the death of my Dad. He kept the house very warm with the heating all full blast. It was very cold after he died and I missed all the conversations about places we'd been or would like to go. Alix liked the song so made a recording of it. It sat for a long time until I could do something with it, technology allowing isolation of vocals. It's going to be included in a book about Tower of song so I thought it should be out there. For anyone who has lost their parents, I'm really so sorry it's a horrible time, but one thing I know for sure they would rather they left you, than you left them.
